The Story in the Cup…
In an avocado tree an Oriel sings to a hardworking woman as she reaches high into a coffee tree to pluck the first ripe cherry of the harvest.  She has always enjoyed the songs of the Oriel.  Somehow they seem to tell a story of a far away land.  As her basket heavies with the ripened fruit, she sets it on the ground to rest.  Warmth is returning to the Northern hemisphere and a twitch in the Oriel’s wings sends it on its yearly path.  Joined by others, the flight north is never a lonely one.  A moment’s rest on a freight ship brings renewed energy.

As the morning sun brightens the sky and brings your sleeping yes back into the day, you stumble to the coffee machine for your morning cup.  Outside and Oriel sings you a morning tune.  You’ve always loved the song of the Oriel.  Somehow it seems to tell a story of a far away land.
